Towards Hope

Ramblings on mental health and healing

My Counselling

I currently provide face-to-face counselling sessions in Paignton, Devon, and provide online sessions throughout the UK.

About my work

I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the core of effective counselling, so my aim is to offer a warm, understanding, and genuine space where trust can develop.

My approach is primarily person-centred and humanistic, which means I aim to understand your experiences from your perspective and work alongside you at your pace. I also understand that many issues people face can be caused by the systems and environments we live in, and I believe social change is a vital part of the therapeutic process. We may not be able to change systems directly, but we can understand the impact it has on us and work on change in our own way!

Alongside this, I have training in Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and may draw on aspects of these approaches where they feel helpful. I can provide long-term or short-term therapy.

I have a particular interest in supporting people exploring identity, different parts of self, sexuality and intimacy, neurodiversity, and periods of change or transition. I am LGBTQ+ affirming.

Costs and Timings

I currently charge £35 for a 60 minute session. I also provide a free no-obligation 15 minute consultation call.
